Pre & Post Care
Here are some things to avoid and keep in mind before any appointment:
-
No extreme sun exposure.
-
No exfoliating treatments such as microdermabrasion, laser, dermaplaning, chemical peels, etc., for 7-10 days before your appointment.

For Microblading appointments:
-
No alcohol 24 hours before your appointment.
-
Refrain from taking blood thinning medications. Ex: Advil, Ibuprofen, fish oil, etc.
-
No caffeine on the day of your appointment.
-
No waxing or threading within the three days leading up to your appointment.
-
If you are getting Botox, please do so at least two weeks before appt.
-
Accutane must be discontinued for at least one year before microblading.
Please note: If you’re using Retin-A or Retinol products, please discontinue use at least seven days before your appointment and 30 days after. Remember that prolonged use of these ingredients near the brow can change the color of your microblading and cause premature fading.
After-Care
Here are a few things to expect after your first microblading session:
Before your appointment, you’ll be emailed detailed aftercare instructions that we will go over together before we begin to ensure that you fully understand how to care for your new brows. Here are a few things that you can expect once you head home.
Your brows will appear darker and more intense immediately after and a few days following your appointment. This can surprise some people, but most clients wish it would stay this way! In the first week or so, flaking and minimal scabbing will start as your body continues to heal. Once the dark pigment has come off, it will reveal a much softer, more natural-looking color that mimics natural hair. It is not uncommon for them to fade quite a bit after the first session but don’t worry because that’s what the touchup appointment is for. We’ll perfect them 6-8 weeks later, and then you’ll have the brows you always wanted!
Please plan accordingly for your healing process. For the two weeks following your appointment, there is no excessive sweating, saunas, pools, jacuzzis, etc. Keeping your brows dry will ensure the best results! No direct sunlight, sunbathing. Please wear a hat and oversized sunglasses when out in the sun. Once healed, sunscreen directly on your brows will protect the pigment and keep them from fading prematurely. Overuse of acids, retinol, etc., in the area, will also cause fading. Be mindful as these are your new brows, and you’ll want to keep them looking good as long as possible.
